What a way to break in the 2022 Wedding Season!!! I am so excited to share with y’all the wedding of Susan and James.. and of course AISY! Now if those names sound familiar I promise you are not losing your minds. James, Susan and Aisy have been family portrait clients for the last two years. They were one of my first clients when I moved to Wilmington!! When Susan emailed me that James had popped the question I shrieked, jumped for joy and yelled “oh my goodness!” in that order. I absolutely loved working with this family and was even more excited to be able to capture their big day! Aisy stole my heart and my camera the first day I had met her. She had brought her own interactive camera to our shoot and wanted to use it to take photos of Ms. Susan and her dad. It was beyond precious.

James & Susan chose to tie the knot at Copper Ridge on the Neuse in New Bern, North Carolina. Y’all this venue was stunning. It was tucked away into the woods with an open view of the river and plenty of space to get fresh air on their covered (heated!) porch. I could not get enough of this venue!

I honestly cannot narrow down what my favorite part of the day was… I mean if I really had to it would be the first look and walking to the first look. Susan and Aisy were both dressed in white walking the streets of Downtown New Bern. People were greeting them and telling them how nice they looked, we even stopped to pet a four legged friend. When we met James at the fountain and he turned around I am pretty sure he did not know where to look first! But you can definitely see the tears in his eyes. His love for them shone throughout the entire day and well into the night of dancing and sparklers!

Susan and James are so full of love and they truly wanted to have their friends and family embrace that with them. Aisy was of course the cutest in her white dress. She was very excited to get a donut from the donut wall and cut the wedding cake! When it came time to dance she was immediately on that dance floor running off her sugar rush! If you weren’t dancing on the dance floor the next best hangout spot was on the covered patio over looking the river. When it was time to wind down for the sparkler exit everyone could not wait to line up to send the happy couple off!

After the sparkler exit and everyone said goodnight the bridal party, photographer, photographer second (mom and I) and the happy couple wouldn’t let the end of the night slow them down. Off to downtown New Bern we went to have more fun!

It’s been a few weeks since the wedding and the happy couple has had time to relish in their images from their big day.. Now it’s time to share it with all of you!

Thank you so much Susan, James and Aisy for allowing my mom and I to capture your special day! I am so excited for y’alls future!
