Happy Friday! I can honestly say I am not sure where the month has gone! It feels like yesterday I was writing March down as the month we are in and now it’s May!! Where did the time go? I will say that just means we are much closer to pool and Summer weather and I am HERE for it. It’s been an adjustment from living in Wilmington, NC where by March you were in shorts to here in Ohio I’m still rotating between shorts and jeans in May. I am just so excited to feel the warmth on my skin and have a tan.
I am going to do a quick catch up for those who missed my IG story… I quit my day job! I know, I am still in shock! I will be studying to become a financial advisor while also being your photographer! I am very excited for this next journey in my career. I am even more excited this affords me the opportunity to open my schedule more for sessions and weddings! I am now offering weekday sessions.
Last month I had the opportunity to photograph Spring Mini’s! I was so excited to be able to host them on my family’s farm with their bright green grass and huge trees! This year I was inspired to do a backyard laundry line theme. So we hung up a clothes line and brought in some cute flowers to make it feel very homey. I will definitely be offering this set up in the Summer for those interested.
In true Ohio fashion the weather dropped from 60 degrees to 38 for our first round of mini’s and then thankfully jumped back up for our second day. Needless to say we were grateful it was a 15 minute mini so everyone could run back inside and warm up! I will be offering a few more mini’s throughout the year, feel free to reach out with questions! I am still running full sessions during the week and weekend as well.
Now the moment you have all been waiting for … the cutest mini’s to date. I had the amazing opportunity to capture two maternity session mini’s followed by a smiley girl who loved flowers and twirling her dress.
Have an amazing day!

Gina & Cody’s wedding at Yankee Lake Ballroom was full of love, laughter, and joyful tears. See their emotional first look and dreamy portraits at Buhl Park!
Earlier in the day, both Jake and Veronique were getting ready in separate rooms. Although they were apart, you could sense the nervous excitement from both of them. Each one was eagerly anticipating the moment they would meet at the altar. As a result, the energy in both rooms was a beautiful mix of butterflies and joy. Because of this, the day felt even more special and full of love.
Now, if you’re scouting for the perfect backdrop for your own magical moments this year, look no further than Buhl Park. Seriously, this place has it all! From the enchanting French vibes of the Casino to the tranquil riverside stroll, and those rolling hills that seem to dance with the setting sun – it’s a photographer’s dream come true!
That’s a wrap on Sunflower Mini Fest of 2023!
