Oh my goodness hello there!!
I know, I know it’s been well over a month of blog silence from me! I have to admit it’s a little hard to blog sessions when I wasn’t taking any new clients during the first month of the pandemic… but guess who’s baa-cck?!
Of course me 🙂 don’t worry guys I have a very very full schedule the next two months! I cannot wait for you to meet all of my new clients and see how absolutely gorgeous they are! I’m going to be an editing machine this Summer.
Not to worry I will still give myself at least one weekend a month for some much needed me time, I’m not that much of a robot! I really used this downtime to focus on my home, my pets and just enjoy the time I had. I can’t even tell you the amount of books I read. I will say I did a lot of online shopping, I mean those sales were too good to pass up. I even cleaned out my closet and purged clothes I haven’t worn in ages. I try to do that once a year, if I don’t remember wearing it at all that year then it must go. I also realized I own way too many hangers…I know I didn’t think that was possible either! OH well enough about me..
Let’s talk about Savanna and her gorgeous family! and I mean GORGEOUS! You know how sometimes it takes a few seconds to get the right pose and then small adjustments here and there, well they were naturals! I definitely have a blast with this family! We laughed a lot and I was really in my zone. I think my face hurt so much from smiling and getting overall that excited during the session. Naturally we had our shoot and Fort Fisher, because it’s a location that has so much variety and it’s just stunning. I mean you’ve seen my gallery images, you know. Savanna called me about a week before her family was to drive down from New York (I could never make that drive, OH to NC was too long for me as it was, props to momma!)
We were hoping for a Saturday session, but the weather gods decided rain was in our future. So we crossed our fingers and toes and aimed for a Monday. North Carolina has been given a lot of rain the last few weeks which is always really stressful with any session. THANKFULLY not a rain drop in sight that day! It turned out to be a perfect weather day. I will say I was so into the session I almost fell into a giant hole someone dug, that would have been bad. It’s what happens when I walk backwards trying to get a walking shot lol.
Needless to say I cannot wait to show you guys their gallery images! I will try to get back into my 2x a week blog posts, but we’ll see how much time I have left in my day for that!
Have a great Sunday all!
xoxo,
Kaitlyn
Gina & Cody’s wedding at Yankee Lake Ballroom was full of love, laughter, and joyful tears. See their emotional first look and dreamy portraits at Buhl Park!
Earlier in the day, both Jake and Veronique were getting ready in separate rooms. Although they were apart, you could sense the nervous excitement from both of them. Each one was eagerly anticipating the moment they would meet at the altar. As a result, the energy in both rooms was a beautiful mix of butterflies and joy. Because of this, the day felt even more special and full of love.
Now, if you’re scouting for the perfect backdrop for your own magical moments this year, look no further than Buhl Park. Seriously, this place has it all! From the enchanting French vibes of the Casino to the tranquil riverside stroll, and those rolling hills that seem to dance with the setting sun – it’s a photographer’s dream come true!
That’s a wrap on Sunflower Mini Fest of 2023!
Meet Delaney & Robert! Two teachers who couldn’t wait to get down the aisle. When I started working with Delaney and Robert last year they could not wait for their wedding date to get here! All through the engagement session we talked about how it felt like forever to go, but as a new bride […]
