Hey There!!
I know it has been so long since I have popped on here and written a hello.. okay like 2 months to be exact, but in my defense I’ve been busy. In August Matt and I started putting a lot of our time and energy (whatever we had once we both finish our day jobs) into revamping our house to sell.. You read that right! We are selling our corner home here in Wilmington, NC.
In between that, my role change in my day job, photoshoots and prepping for our big family vacation some things got away from me. I knew once we came back from our vacation the wind was literally going to pick up and push us forward.. okay weird analogy but you get what I mean. We had our house deep cleaned, I did my trial shoot for my Spooky Mini’s here at Fort Fisher and then the realtor came the next day to get pictures done to list our house!
Fast Forward to that Friday when she went live on Trulia and we had listings all day Saturday in which we had to find things to do around town. You can follow all of our adventures on my instagram. We had breakfast at First Watch followed with an Ulta trip.. Bless that was so hard not to buy all the amazing eyeshadow palettes.. I am a sucker for a good palette. We ended the day with putt-putt at Jungle Rapids. That was a lot of fun and I even got 2 holes in 1 (and not on the first hole either!)
Needless to say it has been a super busy few months and I am ready to relax.. we aren’t there yet though. We have two more showings today and crossing our fingers this is the only weekend we have to do the showing hustle. I love Tiberius Rex (my cat) at the house while we showed, I did not have the energy to cart her in the carrier all day. When we got back she came running down the stairs as if to say “Momma there were strangers in the house!” poor thing.
I have officially closed my books for here in Wilmington, NC as they’re about as jam packed as they can get. I’m even dipping my toes in boudoir this month!! I am so excited to start that journey! On Sept 26th I will be hosting Halloween Spooky mini’s at Fort Fisher There are still a few spots left for those if you are interested! But please do not wait! Then I will be flying back to Ohio Oct 8th to do Spooky photos there at my parents farm! Home that Sunday where my bestie and her family will come visit, then… WE MOVE! September and October are about to get WILD y’all!
I apologize in advance for the lack of blog post and session shares I have done. Trust me it’s not that I don’t want to share with you or show off my gorgeous clients, I just have zero energy right now. I will be doing a 2021 recap to showcase the gorgeous couples & families I worked with this year. I do have my books open for 2022. With us moving back to Ohio I will be offering Wedding and Portraits along the Eastern US! My goal is to travel for weddings and capture gorgeous family and senior portraits in Ohio! Trust and believe I will also being doing a lot more minis.. I mean my parents have a farm why would I not!
I think I have you as caught up as I can for now! So I will be sharing with you some of my favorite photos from our Topsail Trip!! It was definitely bittersweet as it will be our last family trip in Topsail, but we found an amazing place in Florida next year!
Have an amazing Sunday
Xoxo,
Kaitlyn

Hello Sunshine! I can’t believe it’s November 10th, where did summer go? Where did fall go? One minute it was October, and now I’m lighting my cozy candles and sipping peppermint coffee. But you know what that means… it’s time to feature my final wedding of the season on the blog! I always wait until my couples receive their […]

Your wedding day should be uniquely…you On Sunday, August 17th, Cyrus and Chloe celebrated their love story at Bella Amore at Enchanted Acres in Dennison, Ohio. To call their day a fairytale would be putting it mildly. Every detail — from Chloe’s floral gown to the sunset portraits we captured on the rolling Ohio hills — spoke […]

Two joyful summer sessions full of movement, connection, and color—captured by a lifestyle family photographer in Northeast Ohio. Featuring the playful Deraway family at Buhl Park and the heartfelt Stutz session at West Branch, this blog is a reminder that family photos can be fun, real, and full of laughter

Grace & Anthony’s dreamy summer wedding at The Medberry Patch was full of soft florals, heartfelt vows, a tractor send-off (yes, really!), and a sparkler-filled ending to the perfect day. From emotional moments with family to horses joining in for portraits — this one’s got all the magic. ✨

I knew from the moment our engagement session started in February that Joe & Sam’s wedding was going to be a tear-filled day — not just their eyes, but mine too. I’m a total softie when it comes to love. It’s what drew me into this industry in the first place. And these two? They […]

Capturing heartfelt, magical moments that sparkle with love and stay with you forever.
