I woke up this morning, with a puppy snuggled under my chin, my malamute at my feet and the sexiest man on the planet laying right next to me. Who could ask for a better Christmas morning? It was one of those mornings where the whole world felt at a stand still.. that is until we both looked at the clock and realized we needed to start moving towards our morning. Being that my parents aren’t coming into town until tomorrow (Yay!!) Trouble picked up a shift at work, which meant so did I. Granted I picked up the max hours I could so I could put money away for our Spring trip, but I also wasn’t sure how long Trouble shift was either, they had a tendency to let him know a few days before. Today he’s done around 3 and I’m done at 6. Not too too bad, I’ll go home and cook Christmas meal and curl up watching the second Harry Potter with him tonight.
Now this part I know you’ll react to. What am I cooking.. Well I would do a Christmas ham, but there’s only Trouble and I, and Turkey is cheaper than ham! Yeap you guess it, I will be cooking Thanksgiving again for Christmas. I mean we only get that type of feat twice a year, might as well cook one I know tastes amazing! Of course I’ll be making pumpkin pie, crust less, being that we are still on a low carb diet until the end of February. I did attempt Keto sugar cookies, the one thing they don’t tell you on this diet is that everything has a really odd after taste. Like the cookies taste okay at the initial taste, but after that they have this wretched after taste you want to wash away. Granted I didn’t throw away the cookies because I don’t want to waste them, but it’ll be a trying time to eat them.
I am excited for my night with Trouble and just having us snuggled up with the pets and watching HP. We started the first one the other night, I’ve been itching to watch them for awhile. Figured now is as good as any time to start rewatching them. Tomorrow my sister, her boyfriend, and my parents fly in! I am beyond excited to see them and give them their local presents! I suck at keeping gifts a secret, so this year I am beyond surprised I haven’t ruined it yet. I just need to make it a few more days and contain my gift excitement. My mom has been mailing in my gifts the last few weeks for me to wrap, so you know I splurged myself on some cute as shit wrapping paper and even went as far as to hot glue jingle bells on each present, you know gotta be extra. Needless to say my car is going to look like Santa’s sleigh when I load it up and head over to their rented beach house for the weekend. I figured I’d crash at the rental while they’re there and soak in as much family time as I can get. I’ll also have the dogs in tow, it’ll definitely look like a sleigh at that point.
But yes readers you read that right, Trouble and I bought a cavapoo puppy! For those that don’t know the really weird cross breeds it’s a cavalier King Charles spaniel and a poodle mix. He’ll get to be about 24lbs, max. Compared to Kira who is 68lbs, well was when I took her to the vet in the summer. The new puppy is all black with a white chin beard and white crest and one white toe nail, his name is Bumper. He’s a little bouncy ball of energy, who is completely adorable and loves getting cuddles. He’ll sleep in our bed halfway through the night and then snuggle up until we need to get ready in the morning… Okay let me rephrase. I wish that’s how it went. BUT he goes in his cage at bedtime and stays in there until he cries which is generally 4/5 hours later. When he has to go outside, he hardly goes in his cage, and then if I attempt to put him back in the cage he cries. Now this normally wouldn’t be a problem if we lived in a house, but when you live in an apartment you really don’t want to become that neighbor with the yippy dog. We already have enough of those people in our apartment, I’m pretty sure they’ve hit their quota. So he joins us in the bed for the remainder of our sleep until about 5:30/6 when he lunges at your face and attempts to play. Needless to say Trouble and I are both sleep deprived, Bumper’s luck he’s cute. Especially since he knows to ring his bell to go outside and we take him out to pee and he does, and still comes back in and pees a teeny amount on the carpet.. I swear he does it to spite us.
Well readers I have 2 more hours and I get to go home and start cooking! I hope you have a great Holiday and a Merry Christmas
XOXO

Gina & Cody’s wedding at Yankee Lake Ballroom was full of love, laughter, and joyful tears. See their emotional first look and dreamy portraits at Buhl Park!
Earlier in the day, both Jake and Veronique were getting ready in separate rooms. Although they were apart, you could sense the nervous excitement from both of them. Each one was eagerly anticipating the moment they would meet at the altar. As a result, the energy in both rooms was a beautiful mix of butterflies and joy. Because of this, the day felt even more special and full of love.
Now, if you’re scouting for the perfect backdrop for your own magical moments this year, look no further than Buhl Park. Seriously, this place has it all! From the enchanting French vibes of the Casino to the tranquil riverside stroll, and those rolling hills that seem to dance with the setting sun – it’s a photographer’s dream come true!
